Donate to Ruby Thrift

Give quality items a second life.

Ruby Thrift accepts clean, useful, resale-worthy donations during business hours. Most donations can be dropped off at the back of the store when we are open. If you have a larger donation, estate cleanout, moving sale, or bulk group of items, contact us first so we can decide whether it makes sense to take a look and coordinate next steps.

The goal is simple: keep good items moving, make donating easy, and turn quality goods into affordable finds for local shoppers and live-shopping customers.

Drop off during hours Bring donations to the back during regular business hours once the storefront opens.
Quality over volume Clean, useful, resale-worthy items help keep the store fresh and curated.
Large loads by request For big donations, contact us first so we can review whether it meets our standards.
Donations power the store. Every quality item can become a rack, a display, a live-shopping feature, or a great find for the next customer.
Donation journey

Donating should feel simple, clear, and worth doing.

This section is designed to explain the donation flow without overwhelming people. Later, Admin can control the steps, notes, accepted items, and pickup messaging.

How the donation process works

A simple donor journey that can later become Admin-editable.

1

Gather clean, useful items

Clothing, home goods, décor, accessories, furniture, collectibles, books, toys, and everyday finds are all possible candidates.

2

Drop off during business hours

Most donations can be brought to the back of the store during open hours. Clear hours and drop-off instructions will be managed here later.

3

We review and curate

We focus on donations that are clean, safe, useful, and aligned with the Ruby Thrift experience.

4

Good items get a second life

Items may become in-store finds, online marketplace inventory, live-shopping drops, visual displays, or community value.

We are building a curated donation experience.

Ruby Thrift should feel intentional, not random. Donations are appreciated, but the store works best when donated items are clean, safe, useful, and ready for someone else to love.

Good fits

  • Clean clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories.
  • Home décor, small furniture, kitchenware, and useful household goods.
  • Collectibles, books, toys, seasonal items, and quality resale finds.

Not ideal

  • Broken, unsafe, heavily stained, or unusable items.
  • Items with strong odors, pest exposure, or missing critical parts.
  • Anything we cannot safely store, display, clean, or resell.
Large donation review

Have a large donation or cleanout?

If you have a larger donation, estate cleanout, storage cleanout, moving sale leftovers, or a bulk group of quality items, reach out first. We may be able to plan a time to take a look and decide whether it meets our standards before anything is moved.

Helpful for donors Send basic details, item categories, quantity, and the general location.
Helpful for Ruby Thrift We can avoid wasted trips and focus on quality donations that fit the store.
No automatic pickup promise Large donation review does not guarantee pickup or acceptance.
Future Admin workflow Later this can become a real lead form with notes, status, photos, and scheduling.

Large donation inquiry

Static UI for now. Later, this can become a real donation lead form.

For now, this is only a design placeholder. No message is sent yet.

Donation FAQ

Clear answers make people more likely to donate.

The FAQ should remove uncertainty and help donors understand when to drop off, what to bring, and when to contact Ruby Thrift first.

Once the store is open, most donations can be dropped off at the back of the store during business hours. Exact hours and instructions will be posted here later.

For normal donations, no appointment should be needed during open hours. For large donations, estate cleanouts, or bulk loads, please contact us first.

Pickup is not automatic. For very large, high-quality donations, we may be able to schedule a time to look first and decide if it fits our standards.

Please avoid broken, unsafe, dirty, heavily stained, pest-exposed, or unusable items. If you would not feel comfortable giving it to someone else, it may not be a good fit.

Yes. Ruby Thrift plans to work with local groups, churches, senior communities, apartments, realtors, and other partners to help quality items find a second life.

Quality donations keep the store curated, make shopping better, support live shopping, and help Ruby Thrift build a stronger local resale brand.
